We’ve been around for over 25 years. In that time, we’ve drawn on the expertise of our engineering team to create ground-breaking embedded control systems. These have allowed our customers (such as Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, and Rolls-Royce) to develop exciting new functionality for their vehicles.

We’re always on the look-out for talented engineers to help us complete these projects.

If you come to work for us, you’ll be involved in the entire product development cycle, from specifications and prototyping to manufacturing and software testing. What you’ll be doing…

What we’re looking for…

  • Producing development specifications to customers’ requirements
  • Developing embedded electronics circuits based on high end microcontrollers
  • Writing software in C, Matlab, Simulink, VB, and Python
  • Organising PCB layouts with third parties
  • Providing design services to customers off site
  • Manufacturing our innovative test and prototyping systems
  • A good graduate of a Science or Engineering degree program
  • Fluent in programming languages such as C, VB or C#
  • Strong in analogue and digital electronics
  • Knowledge of CAN and other automotive protocols
  • Experience of real time Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge of the TLC, .NET, Linux, C++, Active-X or .NET components

SEND Graduate Researcher in EV Charging Control: with opportunity to gain a PhD

This role will allow an ambitious STEM graduate the chance to research alongside an exceptional team of embedded systems engineers and leading academics as part of a European Regional Development Fund project. Working under the supervision of an academic lead, you will undertake collaborative research in order to develop a new product as part of the continent-wide Smart Energy Network Demonstrator programme, with the opportunity to gain a PhD throughout the course of its 3-year fixed term.

This post will be part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds England Growth Programme 2014-2020.

The role will involve working alongside both academic staff at Keele University and with engineers highly experienced in the provision of embedded systems development and testing here at add2. Following the end of this contract’s fixed-term period, the right candidate may be offered a permanent position at add2, helping to drive controls innovation throughout automotive and aerospace.
