MICROGen is an automotive specification universal electronic control unit. It provides software-configurable I/O and signal conditioning, using industry standard SimuLink®.

MICROGen is based on a subset of our proven Genix technology to provide exceptionally rapid deployment in HILST and rapid control prototyping applications.

We originally designed MICROGen as an in-vehicle system, but its compact size and robust construction make it suitable for mobile installation in vehicles, aircraft, rolling stock or other mobile situations. It's a genuine “plug and go” unit that allows you to deploy and/or test algorithms that you need to interface to the real world.

Like all of our products, MICROGen is designed for flexibility:

·   Modular construction allows upgrading of Microcontroller, Comms or I/O Boards

·   Immense expansion capability utilising the additional plug-in stack boards

·   Ability to run code created from SimuLink®  blocks

·   SimuLink®  block-set for configuration of I/O and signal conditioning

·   Support for a very wide range of communications formats

Prototype Automotive fleets

MICROGen is especially cost effective for fleet runs - it is designed and manufactured from the ground up to be a reliable platform for in-vehicle use and is manufactured using state-of-the-art automatic test equipment.

Small volume rapid prototyping

MICROGen is highly cost effective - even for one-offs. The flexible on-board signal conditioning allows you to begin work straight away while the modular scaleable I/O structure means that you will always be able to deal with unforeseen adjustments.

Distributed flexible test systems

Due to its multiple CAN channels and its flexible I/O MICROGen can be used in distributed test systems in production or development environments utilising a range of digital, analogue, CAN, LIN, RS232 and RS485 sensors.
