add2 are delighted to announce a sponsorship agreement with the Warwick Racing team, based at the University of Warwick.

The team will be sponsored by add2 throughout the 2017/18 season, and will be looking to design and build a single seat racing car to race at a number of Formula Student competitions around the world.

The team, comprised of students from all years and degree streams, will be using add2’s MICROGen to meet a range of control requirements.

MICROGen is an industry proven ECM (electronic control module) prototyping system. It can function as a Simulink programmable rapid control prototyping target for use during model-based design, a powerful gateway for communications and discreet I/O, or a configurable test interface.

The system will initially be deployed within the powertrain development team, providing a supervisory function to the powertrain and battery management systems. Specifically, the MICROGen will be sending torque data signals to an inverter, which in turn, controls engine torque output.
